Hardtack Border Terriers

 Our family has been involved with the sport and hobby of purebred dogs for several decades and more recently with Border Terriers.  A tradition of quality genetics, health testing and superlative care, preserves the traits and characteristics that we all know and love. Continuing education, training and competing in a variety of venues, helps us keep an eye on the future. 

Yes, our dogs are much loved pets that enjoy a cozy spoiled home environment. They have also  earned titles and awards in many different dog sports and compete in conformation on occasion. Border Terriers have keen minds and intuitive independent personalities. Ours enjoy mental stimulation almost as much as food! Training classes, kibble puzzles in the living room,  and raising puppies with a specific development protocol are just some of the ways we keep them engaged.  

 In addition to quality food and excellent veterinary care, all of our dogs are screened for a variety of breed specific genetic and health concerns. They have CHIC#s and all test results can be found on the OFA website.

We owe a huge debt of gratitude to Deb Pomeroy of Otley Border Terriers for her continued mentor-ship and trust. She graciously shared her many years of knowledge and hard work, by providing us with Borders that exemplified breed type and temperament. The versatility, health, and conformation in her program have given us a solid foundation for our many canine adventures.  We continue to network and are inspired by many in the Border Terrier community. It is filled with kind, helpful, sharing people.  Such a blessing!
